It looks like Colby won't be trick or treating tomorrow night :( He has been coughing since last week and has had a fever since Saturday night. He didn't go to school yesterday or today and will not be going tomorrow either. Jonathan took him to the doctors yesterday. The doctor thinks it is probably just a virus. We are hoping since last year his coughing virus turned into pneumonia. I told Colby that I would take him to the store and buy him some candy since he won't be able to go trick or treating. He plans to help me pass out candy, though. I told Colby that he could go trick or treating in our house...I told him that I would give him candy at each door in the house. His response was, "just buy me candy." :)
When Colby is sick, he wants his Mommy :) At 4:00 AM I heard him "crying" out for me..."Mommy, Mommy, Mommy" over & over & over!! When I finally got out of bed and went in his room, he told me, "I have to go to the bathroom really bad and I can't walk." His legs apparently don't work when he is sick so yes, I am a softy and carried him to the bathroom. And yes, I got him his water bottle when he said he couldn't reach it even though it was right in front of him. He's sick and he's six and I'm a softy :)
Well, Colby just told me, "you're not taking care of me." Guess I better go and see what he needs even though he looks content snuggled on the couch watching a show.

Hey, I'm sick too. Where is my mommy to take care of me? Oh yeah, I'm an adult now. Tell Colby I won't be trick or treating either. This must be the week, Hannah has been sick too, but she had strep.
